Making neighbourhood planning work

At our event on 22nd March we discussed how the provisions of the Localism Bill related to neighbourhood plans.

At MADE we are looking forward to working with communities and local authorities on neighbourhood plans.  We think neighbourhood plans have the potential to transform the quality of our neighbourhoods.  But we need to get them right.

We covered:

  • What the provisions of the Localism Bill regarding neighbourhood planning actually mean
  • How new housing will get delivered in the world of neighbourhood plans
  • How we engage with communities to overcome ‘nimbyism’ and develop plans that have place making at their heart
  • How neighbourhood planning transforms the quality of local plans and local places

I found this a very insightful seminar and one of the best I’ve been to in a while. Very good speakers and some great information and examples. Please do inform me of any other forthcoming Neighbourhood Planning seminars.
