Throughout 28th and 29th January, MADE ran activities and workshops at the Creative Careers Festival, organised by Brightspace.

Working alongside make:good MADE invited young people to challenge their perception of a typical street.

On your street you can use the pavements for fun. What would you do?

Through creative workshops and drop-in activity sessions for young people of all ages, the street became an area for play, fun and socialising.  A golf course, playground, sports area, bandstand and railway line were incorporated.  The houses were enhanced using waterslides, bridges and balconies and decorated using different textures and colours.

Give sampad a shout - they’re based at the MAC and are currently running a project called Radiu5 that’s all about getting young people into cultural volunteering. They’ve got a veritable army of young folks looking for things to get involved in. Website’s at http://www.sampad.org.uk/
