Cultural Development Adviser, Anthony Ruck is spending a week in Sweden exploring Creativity and the environment in education.

Anthony is taking part in a Transversal study visit to Ornskoldsvik, Sweden looking at the value of learning outside the classroom.  The study visit will explore:

  • educational experiences and activities included in learning outside the classroom
  • the lifelong value of this type of education
  • its contribution to personal, social and environmental education and active citizenship
  • how learning outside the classroom can lead to creativity and inclusive learning and 
  • how to plan, organise and evaluate learning outside the classroom and integrate it into the school curriculum

MADE has a 'Learning outside the classroom' Quality Badge and this visit will help inform our work with young people and schools.
