As we start the New Year MADE will be working to deliver and develop projects and partnerships in design quality, arts and culture, communities and education.  To help us work more effectively in challenging times we have restructured the staff team to focus on these four areas of work.  The new structure provides a dedicated manager for each area of work who can develop projects, partnerships and sources of income.  The new responsibilities will be:

Anthony Ruck, Arts and Culture Programmes Manager.  Anthony will be promoting MADE’s new approach to its arts programme, concentrating on arts interventions that can improve the design process or change thinking about difficult sites.

Bianca Fowler, Design Quality Manager.  Bianca will be managing the design review service, MADE’s design support services and our design quality training programmes such as the Urban Design Summer School.

Jane Puzey, Education Programmes Manager.  Jane will be developing MADE’s work with schools, colleges and universities, including projects to involve students in designing their own learning environments and work to promote careers in the built environment professions.

Jo Maguire: Community Programmes Manager.  Jo will be developing MADE’s work to help local residents and business shape the future of their communities including our work on neighbourhood planning.

David Tittle will continue as Chief Executive, co-ordinating the team and the organisation, developing partnerships and acting as a spokesperson for MADE.  David will continue to get involved in the development and delivery of many of MADE’s projects.

Sally Robertshaw returns from maternity leave at the beginning of February, as Office Manager, responsible for the smooth running of the organisation and some of our central projects and services.

But MADE is not just six people in an office in Birmingham.  Our voluntary board of directors, our expert panel and our many other supporters and partners are part of the MADE team all working together to achieve our objectives.

MADE is always looking for opportunities to work in partnership with public, private and third sector organisations around the West Midlands and beyond, so if you think we can help you or have a project ideas you would like to develop with us, please get in touch.
