MADE has created a temporary design studio as part of a masterplanning process for the Churchfields area of Kidderminster. The approach (pioneered earlier this year in a project for Birmingham City Council) involves MADE recruiting architecture graduates who have not yet found permanent positions, to form a studio to deliver cost effective and creative support for local authorities.
The graduates are paid a modest daily rate and gain valuable work experience. Ben Pipkin, Nimesh Mistry and Kerry-Ann O'Niell have begun work making a model of the Churchfield area to be used to test ideas and for community engagement. Our interns have been filming their progress - watch Nimesh's 'time-lapse' film here
