Phil Jones

Phil has particular expertise in traffic analysis and transport planning. He is part of the team that produced ‘Manual for Streets’ and 'Manual for Streets 2' for the DfT and CIHT. He set up Phil Jones Associates where he specialises in achieving synergy between transport planning and urban design, with the aim of creating places and spaces that meet aesthetic, social and functional aims.

Current projects: Phil is working with urban designers on a scheme to improve Bexleyheath town centre. The design is likely to involve the use of shared space techniques, the removal of guardrailing and other clutter and reductions in the areas given over to traffic.
